About Silsu Jewelry

I’m Stephanie, the artist behind Silsu Jewelry. Thank you for being interested enough in my work to make it to this page!

My interest in jewelry started when I was a kid picking up 'pretty' rocks from the playground and dragging them home. Thankfully, I had a mom who encouraged this behavior and an uncle who fostered my interest in geology. In my twenties I joined a local gem and mineral club that offered lapidary and silversmithing classes. It was a great creative outlet for my day job, which has always been and continues to be more on the analytical side.

As I have refined my design aesthetic over the years, I continue to let the focus of my designs be the stones themselves and gravitate towards stones with interesting inclusions, color combinations and shapes. Many of the stones in my work are ones that I cut myself but I also purchase finished stones when one speaks to me.

At its heart, Silsu Jewelry is about transformation. Every piece is shaped not only by hand, but also by emotion — the quiet practice of making as a way for me to process and grow as a person and artist. The name Silsu carries with it the idea of resilience: the strength to bend, shift, and endure, while still creating beauty.

Each design begins with silver and stone, chosen for their natural imperfections and unique character. Through texturing, patina, and form, my jewelry reflects both the raw honesty of nature and the inner landscapes of the maker. No two pieces are alike, because no two moments of creation are alike.

Worn on special occasions or for a lifetime, Silsu Jewelry is meant to be more than ornament. It is a companion — a reminder that beauty can emerge from complexity, and that resilience carries its own quiet shine.
